Advice reviewed by Fuel Drain Scotland LTD
Last updated 11 September 2026

What should I do after putting the wrong fuel in?

Do not start the engine. If you are already driving, stop as soon as it is safe, switch off and call us for guidance.

Can you repair a flat tyre at the roadside?

We can inspect punctures and repair them when the tyre is safe and suitable to repair. If it is not, we can discuss replacement or spare-wheel fitting.

Do you cover all of Scotland?

We are based in Glenrothes, Fife and take call-outs across Scotland. Distance, traffic, access and current availability affect response time and travel cost.

Can every mechanic repair be completed roadside?

No. We complete work that is suitable and safe at your location. Some repairs or servicing may need an appointment or a workshop, and we will be clear about that.
